Santa Barbara is a very beautiful place, but what really makes it stand out from all the other scenic places in California is the fact that it is a veritable paradise for cyclists. The place is just full of the best bike spots in the US, and here are some of the best ones:
Cabrillo Bike Path
This is the bike path on Hotel Milo’s Cabrillo Boulevard. It’s great for people who love green, scenic views because biking here will get you a full view of Mission Creek and Chase Palm Park. The path also takes you near some of the best seafood restaurants in the city.
For cyclists who prefer winding mountains and rocky views instead of greeneries, the Gibraltar Road is perfect. It’s a 33-mile loop that winds all the way around the top of the Santa Ynez Mountains, which should give a good view of Santa Barbara itself and Ventura. One advantage of this bike path is that when you get tired, you can just go back and coast, letting gravity do the work instead of pedaling all the way down.
This is a popular attraction in Santa Barbara, owing to its nearness to Hotel Milo. It can be accessed from Hotel Milo itself, and can easily lead to The Andersons, where bikers can rest awhile and get some breakfast or lunch. After eating, bikers can then cruise around State Street where they can get a good view of all the shops and establishments lined up and down the path.
